Principal’s Message

Mr. MacMoningle Mr. Brett MacMonigle
Marguerite L. Mulvey Elementary
Principal
Greetings Mulvey Family,

I trust that each of you experienced a happy, healthy, restful and meaningful time with your friends and family during the winter recess.  As we embark on the remainder of the school year, we will continue to promote and demonstrate the district initiative of sharing and demonstrating kindness.  One lesson that we can learn from doing so is, we should always act as if what we do and how we treat others makes a difference - because it does!  Parents and teachers significantly influence our students’ lives each day.  Our students are our greatest resource.  Because of this fact, making a positive impact in their lives is paramount in our interactions with them.  It is our belief, that the success of our students requires a multi-modal approach that involves the school, parents and the students.  We must continue to work together as an extended family to ensure the success for all of our students.  With that being said, please know that you can continue to support your child's learning and ultimate success by continuing to be a positive role model, children model what they see more than what they hear. Practicing what your child learns in school by reviewing their work with them daily, impressing upon them the importance and benefits of acquiring a quality education and reminding your child the heights they can achieve through a quality education is directly correlated to the effort and responsibility they put into it!

In order for your children and our students to acquire the education they deserve; good attendance is vital in achieving this goal.  Please make sure that your children attend school every day.  Academically, your children will continue to engage in appropriately challenging, purposeful learning experiences in order to independently attain knowledge and skills needed to be successful now and in their future.  Their acquisition of their learning will be assessed in the form of State Examinations.  As we near these examinations, our teachers will notify you of these examinations and stress the importance of your children being well rested the night before and present on the days of these examinations.  The dates of these examinations are as follows:
